In room design you introduce colours and schemes that you prefer, but you can visually increase the size of the room too.
Choosing pale colours over darker ones is one example. Neutral, pastel or white gives the illusion that the walls are farther away than they actually are, Light bounces off the walls to increase the amount of light the room receives and thereby making it airier and more spacious.
If you like wallpaper, choose one with a simple pattern, or with tiny motifs. The larger patterns tend to give the appearance of there being more items in the room, which will give a small room a cluttered feeling. The alternative is to have one accent wall with the busy wall paper or the darker paint colour.

Very often we are asked to design a bedroom or nursery by mixing the old and the new. You may want to do this for a variety of reasons; keeping heirloom or beloved pieces of furniture, or simply having a preference for the eclectic look.
Eclectic decor can either be seen as simple, because there are no rules or as difficult because it still has to look good!
This can be achieved in more ways than one. The key is to have a common theme running through the pieces, in the form of color, shape or style. We chose colour.

Vintage
Since children are stimulated by colour we picked the Alexis Bedding collection. The girls bedding collection is made to order so there is no limit on size or styles. Too busy for you? We can tone it down by mixing in plain fabrics yet not taking away from the vintage feel. The rug is available in fuchsia/purple but we pulled orange from the bedding to avoid it looking too pink. The swirls in the rug along with the colour says Retro! Our made to measure furniture can also be made to look like it has been around for years, ask us about that.
Modern
Our designer picked a neutral finish for our bed to give flexibility with this and future projects. The Arcadia Bed is available in all sizes and made to order, is über sleek, chic and modern all at the same time! This bed is available as a cot, which in turn can be converted to a toddler bed. While Birds in the Tree is an age old theme in the world of art, this artist has given it a modern twist with the mosaic theme.

We are celebrating because our Zebra Chair made its way into the “10 Best Children’s Furniture” section of the Independent newspaper- further proof that we only sell THE BEST!
The Zebra Chair is favoured as a birthday present to a special someone, or just to say “I love you”. It is an heirloom piece as it comes with its own story book on “How the Zebra got it’s stripes”Team it with our custom made zebra knobs to dress up those drab drawers and you have a winner! Our knobs are made to order so we can lose the cute pink ears and make them blue or whatever fits. Did I mention we do a Zebra rug too?
